Sauvignon Blanc is one of the most popular grape varieties in the world. Originally from the Loire Valley, it has been made arguably more famous by New Zealand. This example from the south-west of France is picked early to help retain freshness and naturally high acidity. A bright white wine with a lovely clean lemon-green colour, on the nose this wine has the trademark characteristics of Sauvignon Blanc with lovely aromas of lime, green apple, green leaves (and other herbaceous notes, e.g. grass). It is light-bodied with refreshing, vibrant acidity and a delicacy and purity of fruit flavour. Super-refreshing, zesty and very easy to enjoy!
This southern French wine shines bright yellow in the glass, and on the nose shows a wonderfully fragrant bouquet of flavors including gooseberries, pink grapefruit and elderflower. These aromas are accompanied by a hint of quince and freshly cut grass.
On the palate, it’s quite light and has a refreshing acidity and a lovely finish. A wonderful wine for summer!
